Buxton travelled to Dove Valley Swimming Club of Uttoxeter, Staffs to compete in a B grade gala with a young inexperienced team, many of whom were competing in their first gala.

Buxton left many of their best swimmers at home in order to comply with strict swim-out times and despite of this all swimmers showed their potential by winning 39 of the 50 races on the night spread accross 2 teams.
